FestiVille has Something for Everyone

As we head into autumn, the air will turn cooler and many families will venture outside to enjoy the wonderful fall festivals across Arkansas.

Every fall, thousands of visitors attend FestiVille, Jacksonville’s largest and most anticipated annual event. This year, the Jacksonville Parks and Recreation department, along with other community organizations, will host the sixth annual FestiVille Sept. 28-29 at Dupree Park. The two-day city festival is free to the public and features activities for the whole family.

The festival will feature carnival rides, games, live entertainment and music, trap shooting exhibitions and food vendors. There will be lots of interactive entertainment including a petting zoo, chili cook-off contest, 5k run, volleyball tournament and a children’s area that includes a rock climbing wall.

Some activities, such as the 5k run and the chili cook-off contest require registration; forms can be found at festiville.org. The volleyball tournament registration will take place on site.

Live entertainment and music will be showcased on two stages, the Pavilion Stage and the Jacksonville Advertising and Promotion Commission (JA&P) Stage, throughout Friday and Saturday.
